This ended up being quite the romantic still life. That blue table cloth has been in my life since I can remember, so there’s some nostalgia at play here, and perhaps when my mom told me she was wanting a painting of mine to hang in her house, I subconsciously tuned into her preference for classic, romantic art while painting this bouquet.
